Getting a new pet is not always easy, especially when it is an 8 week old puppy with an abundance of energy but a lack of discipline or a sense of home.  Though some animals, dogs namely, do become a part of the family and have the capacity to truly love a human being, the allure of freedom is not always resistible.  Sometimes it can happen in a flash, such as when a person opens the door to enter the house and the dog darts out.  Sometimes it can happen when nobody is watching, such as when the puppy digs a small hole outside and squeezes under the fence.
