When it comes to gambling, there are few things that are more fun and exciting then the racetrack.  You bask in the hot summer sun, enjoy beer and hotdogs, and bet money on horses.  Sounds like a perfect July day!  As relaxing as it is to spend a day at the track, people do not realize how much work truly goes into making each day a success.  Besides stocking up the concession, reloading the bet ticket printers and cleaning the entire park, programs must be printed daily. Flyers for the fish fry

A couple times a year, the local Catholic school has a fish fry to raise money for various programs.  This time of year, when it is bitter cold, the banquet hall becomes a casino with booths selling raffle tickets and draught beer.  Gambling may be frowned upon in some places, but not in God’s eyes!  The fish fry is a fun and different way to bring the community together.  In February, all of the funds for this fish fry go towards the athletic department.  Whether the money is used for new uniforms or buses to transport the kids to away games, the earnings are divvied up evenly between all teams.
