It has been 4 years since you started that job, and even though you have done well and gone above and beyond what has been asked of you, the boss seems to look right through you.  Well, the second in command is retiring in a couple weeks and you are a candidate for the position, along with 4 other people.  The board has asked that you all give a presentation showing the direction you would like to take the company and how you intend on doing it.

You are in luck because earlier this year the wife wanted a laser printer with high quality printer toner, for printing her screenplays.  She has been writing for years and needed a printer that she could rely on for big jobs.  You chose HP, and got an HP LaserJet toner, and it has worked wonders for her and her career.  Now it is your turn.  Not only do you need to present packets to all of the board members, but you need to show charts and grids outlining your accomplishments and goals for yourself and the company.

First thing is first, go out and get transparency paper and make sure you have plenty of HP CP1518ni toner.  You can print your initial outline and charts on the transparencies so you can use the projector.  If you want to get creative and original, you can print special envelopes to put the packets in.  You can print labels with each individual board members name and put them on the envelopes.

All of the other candidates are qualified, so what can you do to truly make an impression?  Why not make yourself a stack of business cards, with your name and the words Vice President below it.  Let them know you are confident that you are the best person for the job, so much so that you went ahead and had the business cards made up.

It’s already understood that you are qualified for the position, now you have to utilize your creativity and the high quality laser printer toner to make the bosses understand that you are the best choice.  And the only way to do that is to impress them with your presentation.
