Remanufactured and refilled toner cartridges

Posted Thursday, April 22nd, 2010 by .

There are many benefits to using toner recycling. However, it is your decision on whether you wish to use this toner in your expensive printer. Using remanufactured toner cartridges poses no risks to your printer that the OEM brand does not present.  HP toner provides high quality printing with minimal risk of printing errors, but so does its generic twin. In other words, remanufactured toner and the OEM brand have equal quality. Despite this revelation, the OEM brand is typically priced twice as much as remanufactured toner. It does not make much sense for anyone to purchase the OEM brand in this situation now does it? Despite this obvious price difference, only one third of the business world uses remanufactured or compatible cartridges. This means that the OEM brands still hold a higher percentage of cartridges used.

The main thing this trend shows is that many large businesses probably use the OEM brand over the remanufactured brand for their Brother toner cartridges. The OEM provides significant discounts for its largest customers, so it makes it easier for these larger companies to purchase the brand name products like a Lexmark toner cartridge. From an outsider’s perspective, it could also be viewed poorly if any of these large companies were purchasing generic brand products. In the business world, image is everything, and some companies feel it is worth the additional expenses to purchase the brand name. It is also much easier for larger companies to pay the additional costs for products given their higher revenue.

For small businesses, however, image is less of a factor. The main factor that a small business will need to keep in mind is expenses. If a small business owner can get the same quality printing from one toner cartridge for half the price of the OEM brand, then there is no rational reason for the small business owner to use the brand name. It makes the most sense to use the generic brand to aid his or her business in its growth. It is difficult to be successful in any business if your costs are always higher than your revenue.

There are multiple advantages to using generic or remanufactured toner. The most notable advantages are the savings you can experience by paying half the price for toner. In some instances, price differences can be closer to seventy percent! At the end of the day, you will only find the best deals by looking for them. Research is extremely important whenever you are trying to find the best priced solution.
