Getting residue from toner cartridges off your hands and clothes

If you ever found that you have the residue from toner cartridges on your hands or clothing, it can be really annoying.  Occasionally you can end up dealing with loose toner residue, but knowing how to deal with it can make a big difference. That black powder from your Samsung CLP-660 toner cartridge can create a real mess if you don’t know how to deal with it and get it picked up correctly. The toner powder gets heated up to create an image on paper, and once the toner gets loose outside the cartridge, it can become hard to deal with. Cleaning off loose toner can be a real problem and can permanently damage things if not correctly dealt with.

The solution for any toner spills is to remove as much as possible with a small brush. Keeping the toner dry will ensure that it does not set in any surface. The use of soap and water on printer toner cartridges stains on clothing will result in the same problem, but there’s no hope that the fibers will regenerate. Any sort of heat will set that stain in forever, so its best to remove the toner with a dry method at first.

If you have ever gotten Lexmark toner cartridges’ loose residue on you, you know that the answer is not using water and soap. Using water and soap to clean your hands is only natural, but it’s a terrible idea with toner residue. Adding water and soap to toner on your skin can only set that toner in, making it impossible to remove. It will leave a mark that will only go away when your skin flakes off and grows a new layer. This is annoying, but not permanent. However, you will have to go about your work with black hands, which can look very unprofessional. Take the time to clean the spills up the right way.

For both skin and clothing, make sure you use a mild soap when cleaning off LaserJet 3600 toner residue. This will help in the removal of any excess toner that didn’t come off with a brush. Most importantly, remember to clean up spills quickly, avoid any sort of heat at all prior to cleaning, and to use gentle cleansers. These tips will keep your clothing and skin mark-free when you encounter loose toner.
