Some teachers still require students to hand in a printed final copy of a paper in class. Sometimes even the syllabus is posted online for students to print out as a map through the course. Study guides, cheat sheets and even a collection of notes to review the discussion in class can be printed. All of these printable documents will undoubtedly help students get better grades and retain more knowledge.
Having an efficient and reliable printer in her dorm room will enhance the academic experience for your daughter, and probably her roommate too. If you choose to get her an inkjet printer with photo printing capabilities, as she makes friends and starts attending events or parties, she will be able to print pictures. Maybe she wants to join a sorority and the printer will allow her to make flyers for the upcoming ball or flag football game. Regardless of the direction or major she goes for, having her own printer will help her along the way.
