The many features of laser printing
Trying to run a business in a flailing economy? Need to make flyers for your missing puppy? Kids have a science project due next week? If you have a laser printer, you need not spend money on the help of professionals. You can print lab-quality graphics and images right from home. The special laser toner cartridges found in most printers is designed to produce precise images that are true to the original.
Of course, some laser printers are better than others. A monochromatic HP LaserJet printer contains 1 toner cartridge, such as HP 1320 toner. Others consist of the 4 standard colors- cyan, yellow, magenta and black. The LaserJet name is one of the, if not the most prolific model of laser printers. They provide a convenient and effective way to produce high quality, multi-sized prints.
The fine lasers used in these devices are highly technological and accurate. The lasers have a negative charge, and can transfer the images onto the drum. When the drum reaches the positively charged toner, they are attracted to each other. Then the paper rolls through with a more intense negative charge, and virtually steals the image from the drum. So if your kids do have a science project due soon, maybe the inner workings of a laser printer can be your topic.
Laser printers will always have toner, while inkjet printers use ink. Ink is usually in a liquid form or a solid stick, like a crayon. Toner, however, is a powder. Inkjets use nozzles to dispense the ink per inch of paper until an image is created. Toner is applied via the negative and positive charges caused by the lasers. Which is an all around better choice? For big, specific jobs, you will get more prints and more accuracy out of a laser printer.
